Ksting talent discovery and profile interfaces with editorial portrait photography

Great talent.
Fewer barriers.

Discover the right people. Talk directly. Make it happen. A digital home for a more open way to book creative talent.

Ksting set out to challenge the traditional agency model with smarter booking, transparent pricing and lower fees. The digital experience needed to bring that proposition to life, giving brands a direct route to models and creative talent.

I designed the UX and UI for ksting.com, with prototypes spanning discovery, talent profiles, shortlists and the request flow. The challenge was to give the people and their work a strong visual presence while making the practical steps easy to follow.

Ksting talent filters and portrait grid
01 / Discover

Let talent
take the lead.

In a talent marketplace, the first impression belongs to the people. Generous portraits and a restrained interface give each profile space, creating an experience closer to an editorial selection than a crowded directory.

Make browsing feel like finding.

The grid makes it easy to scan different people and move into a profile. Filters give a more specific brief a practical starting point, while clear navigation keeps browsing, saved talent and requests connected.

The visual hierarchy supports both modes: an open search for inspiration and a focused search for the right person.

Ksting talent profile and portfolio presentation

A portfolio with a next step.

Profiles bring the work into focus, with larger images and access to the full portfolio. The surrounding details help a client assess suitability, and a visible request action gives that interest somewhere to go.

Personality first.

Photography leads the experience and gives individual talent room to stand out.

Clarity throughout.

Consistent profile structures make the practical information easier to find.

02 / Choose

Good possibilities.
One place.

Choosing talent is rarely a single click. Favourites give promising profiles a place to collect while a client considers the project and compares options.

Keep the selection moving.

The shortlist keeps selected people visible and includes a way to share the list. It gives the client a useful intermediate step between browsing and sending a request.

Returning to a selection should feel familiar. The same portraits and profile cues carry through from discovery, so the client can continue with the people they already have in mind.

Ksting request flow with project details and selected talent
03 / Connect

From interest
to an actual brief.

A useful request needs more than a name. The flow breaks the brief into six focused steps: job type, dates, location, usage rights, rate and notes. The selected talent stays visible alongside the questions, keeping the request connected to the person it is for.

Two ways to start the negotiation.

The rate step lets the client either make an offer or ask for a price. Both routes have a clear place in the same flow, leaving room for different briefs and different levels of certainty.

Make the commitment clear.

The interface explicitly explains that a request is not binding. The client confirms the booking after the talent accepts, and can cancel the request before that point.

That distinction matters in a product built around direct negotiation. The client can start a conversation without mistaking the first step for a completed booking.

Ksting messaging and job management interfaces

Keep the job and the conversation together.

Messages give clients and talent a direct channel to discuss the assignment. Dedicated job and request views provide a place to return to the details as the conversation develops.

A clear starting point.

The request establishes what the client needs and who they want to work with.

Room to agree.

Direct conversation supports the negotiation before a booking is confirmed.

One experience, from discovery to dialogue.

The design brings the visual and practical sides of casting into a connected journey. Talent gets the space to make an impression; clients get a clearer path from finding someone to working together.
